About a couple of years ago one of our beagle puppies left the house for good for some reasons 12 months ago one of our beagle puppies decided it was time to make a journey and never returned. She had been in our home for six years and a roomy for our little west highland terrier (Muttley).

Her name was Scoobie and she was a great beagle puppy.Scooobie behaved like a bit of a mom hen towards Muttley and looked after her non stop 24 hours a day seven days a week.

I was so heartsick when Scoobie left and poor Muttley looked so baffled. It was then I started reading up on beagle dogs and I got as much information as I could about them .Muttley loved larger than average size dogs so we decided why break the habit of a lifetime and stick to what we knew best. It was only then that the real discovery took off in earnest to discover where we could find a dog.

Asking the breeder beagle questions was the all important thing in determining which breeder I would choose.I had everyone at work helping me try and locate a good breeder.

My oldest and dearest friend lent a hand as well, she passed ages going through the yellow pages hoping to track down breeders I live in the city and Barbara lives out in the Country maybe 50 miles, away from me. Another close friend of Barbaras phoned her up as well to tell her that there were dog stock breeders in Long Island as well.

So Barbara picked up the telephone and made an appointment to see the stock breeders in the flesh. The pups soon arrived in early 2004 and we were thrilled when we got the news. We couldnt contain ourselves with the tension of visiting the stock breeders and picking up our new pup.

When we eventually coped to visit the beagle dog I had to have them all or so I thought as they were just amazing. It took four trips down there to choose the dog that I wanted, it was one of the most difficult decisions of my life. Fortunately, I didnt have to make a determination as one of the dogs made it for me, this little chap went straight for my shoes and started to mess with my shoelaces.

On May 10, 2004, Smurf came to his new home and has been such a delight for us and Muttley.

The fussiest person in the world handles to smile when they see mury grinning at them.It didnt take long for Smurf to assemblage with a new girlfriend so we could well be grandparents in the next few months I cant wait.
