The Truth About Difficult People
No matter where you go, who you meet, or what the situation may be, you can always be sure you’re going to run into difficult people. What you consider difficult may be different from what everybody else does, but it is no secret that there are some people who are just out of control. This has never been more apparent to me since I started talking to people online. There are times when I think I am going to lose my mind because of the way some the people act when they think they are hiding behind a computer screen. The most difficult people are the ones who insist that they are always right. There’s nothing you can say that nothing you can do to convince them that perhaps they may not be right all of the time. When you run into this type, you are probably better off moving along rather than wasting your breath. Sadly, these difficult people are also in my family. The only benefit from this I can see is that I already have some practice in dealing with them. That doesn’t mean, however, and I enjoy it. Other difficult people are the ones who are not only stubborn, but they are also delusional. If you have never met any of these people, you have probably not spent any time on a message board or in an Internet chat room. I have found that many of these difficult people only become more difficult if you try to reason with them. I’m not just talking about those who are stubborn, I am talking about those who are just plain making stuff up. When someone says music from the other side of the world has woken them in the night as if by some mystical connection, to just have to cut your losses and move on. How you deal with difficult people will greatly affect your level of stress. If you just let them go and move along with what you wanted to do, you will be far less stressed, and you will have a more peaceful time online. Though you may think it’s not fair for the difficult people to chase you from a message board or a chat room, you have to wonder if it’s really worth it. Unless you are on a site that you use on a daily basis, it might not be worth the hassle. However, if you’re on one of your favorite sites perhaps you just have to be difficult yourself.
